About

The Museum of the Home is set in Grade I listed 18th-century almshouses surrounded by tranquil gardens in Hoxton, East London, just minutes north of the City of London.

The Museum reveals the ways we live and the many meanings of home through evocative displays of Rooms and Gardens Through Time, diverse personal stories from its collections, exhibitions and events.

The Museum's green and peaceful setting and proximity to the City make it an ideal venue for receptions, cocktail parties, press launches, talks and meetings. During the summer months, both the front lawns and Rooms Through Time can also be hired for events - valuable green spaces in the inner city.

The Museum is currently closed for redevelopment and will reopen in early 2021. Contact the events team for full details of available spaces and costs - [email protected].
