About

There are two places to eat at the Tate Britain - the Café and the Restaurant. They are all managed by Tate, for Tate, so purchases directly support the gallery.

The Tate's self-service Café offers a range of freshly baked pastries, good quality sandwiches, light meals, soup, cakes and drinks. The Café is open 10:00 - 17:30 daily.

The Tate Britain Restaurant was decorated by Rex Whistler, whose specially-commissioned mural The Expedition in Pursuit of Rare Meats makes an atmospheric and memorable setting for a meal. Head Chef Richard Oxley has worked at prestigious restaurants throughout the UK. His predominantly British Menus are complemented by the celebrated, and well-prices, wine list.

The Restaurant is open for breakfast Saturday and Sunday 10 - 11:30. Lunch is served Monday to Sunday 11:30 - 15:00 and afternoon tea is served from 15:30 - 17:00 Monday to Sunday.
