The Queen's Gallery
About
Feel like royalty when you visit The King's Gallery (formerly known as the Queen’s Gallery) at Buckingham Palace.
The gallery is a permanent space dedicated to changing exhibitions of items from the Royal Collection, the wide-ranging collection of art and treasures held in trust by the monarch for the nation.
What is there to see at The King's Gallery?
Dedicated to works of art from the Royal Collection, The King's Gallery was constructed in 1962 at Buckingham Palace, out of the bomb-damaged ruins of a chapel destroyed in an air raid in 1940. The innovative and modern art gallery is one of the most significant additions to Buckingham Palace in 150 years.
In addition to gems from the Royal Collection, there's a changing programme of temporary exhibitions, featuring old master paintings, rare furniture, decorative arts and images from the photograph collection.
